We are intermediaries, and we never forget it. The factory’s floor and the customer’s shelf both belong to somebody else, and both were built over decades. Our job is to make the distance between them shorter, quieter and more certain than it would otherwise be.
That is why we own no factories. Independence lets us place an order where the product belongs rather than where our own capacity sits idle, and it keeps our advice worth taking.
Started in San Francisco as a sourcing agency, placing first orders in housewares and knitwear.
Put merchandisers in the same time zone as the factories they book, a practice we have never dropped.
Took on full design-to-delivery programs, adding product development and quality engineering to sourcing.
Brought logistics in-house: consolidation, customs and delivery scheduling under one desk.
Built the ledger: every order, approval, inspection and sailing in one shared view for customers and partners alike.
Today, we still own no factories, by design.
We are candid when a date slips, patient with a partner worth keeping, and organized enough that nobody else has to be. Those three habits explain most of what we do, and all of what we will not.
We will not chase a price that only works if somebody downstream absorbs it, and we will not promise a calendar that only works if nothing goes wrong.
